2014 Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT: Built With Customers in Mind

by Pete Misiak

In show business, the time-worn unwritten rule is you always save the best for last. Build to that crescendo, and end the presentation with a socko finish. That’s what happened this morning at the Jeep® reveal at the North American International Auto Show. The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT closed the show, radiating power and luxury, functionality and style. For 2014, Grand Cherokee SRT checks all of those boxes.

Among the distinctive features that make the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT special are the new signature LED character lamp treatment, a brawnier grille, a new, one-touch...

Talk about go big or stay home!

Ram and Jeep® brands brought home eight honors this weekend in the 20th annual Texas Auto Writers Association Texas Truck Rodeo. No other auto OEM captured as many combined.

With all of this gear to keep my pooch pleased, it's important that I have a vehicle that can haul all of his required belongings and one that keeps...

by Gualberto Ranieri

The story leading up to a Swedish magazine’s scurrilous accusation against the 2012 Grand Cherokee reminds me of the 1973 movie, The Sting.

Both involve cheating. But unlike the movie, the magazine won’t win any Oscars and the Swedish characters can’t match the professional genius of Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

The movie is divided into scenes that have names such as “The Set-Up,” which describes the criminal enterprise the characters use to target their mark.

The magazine’s mark was the 2012 Grand Cherokee. And the vehicle was definitely “set up,” which is nothing short of criminal.read more

SRT Gearheads Ready for 'One Lap' Endurance Challenge

by Pete Misiak

It’s been called “the ultimate gearhead road trip,” and SRT’s talented designers, engineers and drivers are making last-minute preparations to take part in the granddaddy of all endurance challenges, the Tire Rack One Lap of America.

SRT Vehicle Dynamics Engineer Marco Diniz and John “Hammer” Palazzolo will co-drive a specially prepared 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 beginning this weekend. The pair will traverse the upper Midwest and Central parts of the country in the 470-horsepower Grand Cherokee SRT8 - one of the fastest and most comfortable SUVs in the...
